Get Smart #Technology from CES by: Custom Toll Free , January 12, 2013 Smartwatches are some of the most popular tech gadgets at this year’s CES in Vegas but this could be the last year the U.S. enjoys getting some of the hottest new devices first. Kickstarter.com’s success story, “The Pebble E-Paper Watch”, was one of the most talked about and highly anticipated smart watches at CES, after raising over $10 million on the crowd-funding platform. The Pebble works with both Android and Apple smartphones, serving up SMS, phone call updates, calendar alerts, email, Twitter messages, and Facebook updates right on your wrist. So no more excuses for forgetting anything. However, the Pebble certainly has competition now. Bluetrek’s iPhone compatible Cookoo smart watch might be lacking a few of the more advanced features but it does notifications, location tagging and perhaps most important of all alerts you if you leave your phone somewhere. What more do you want at only $129 a pop? For those who don’t mind forking over a little more, the $369 “I”m Watch’ appears to deliver much more with a touchscreen, which allows photos to be viewed and additional apps to be downloaded. For those not really interested in having their wrists weighed down by another mobile device or who don’t find these smart watches a good match with their wardrobe, how about smartphones with screens that can be bent and folded? Still not getting exactly what you want? Don’t worry; the Army has already brought Star Trek “replicator” technology to life with 3D printing and CNC mills for crafting whatever you want, wherever you may be on the planet. However, before you plan on going into MacGyver overdrive these machines are still the size of cargo containers for now and haven’t perfected the art of cuisine yet. The newest tech devices today might be able to smell and release smells but what about taste? While many might think that the U.S. is just really coming into its own with technology, according to Apple, China is the new big market and likely the frontline for rolling out the new low priced iPhone. If you can make it there and sell it there you’d certainly save a ton on shipping. Perhaps you’ll truly need your own replicator machine to get your hands on the newest technology in the future if you plan on staying stateside. Or perhaps it’s time to grab that winning numeric vanity number and start making money on both sides of the globe too? © Figarro | Dreamstime.com Search for: Search Categories Advertising Branding Business Growth Communication Entrepreneur Management Marketing News & Updates Tags Small business Small Business; Small Business Growth; Small Business Communication; Small Business Technology; Toll Free Vanity Numbers Toll Free Numbers Toll Free Trends Uncategorized Vanity Toll Free Archives 2020 2019 2018 2017 2016 2015 2014 2013 2012 2011 2010 2009
