3 Reasons a Female Entrepreneur Will Make Your Day

by: Vanity Numbers , February 4, 2014

It’s no secret that the amount of start ups the country and the economy has seen in the last five years has increased exponentially. In fact, the amount of start ups that have appeared on the market during this time frame is one of the highest peaks ever. There are many reasons for this, some of which we have already discussed. But a shockingly large percentage of those start ups are actually female entrepreneurs. In 2011, there were 8.1 million female owned or operated businesses in the U.S.

So how are females jumping into the entrepreneurial world with both feet? What is the desire behind women who strive to become entrepreneurs? The reasons are simple.

Making a Difference. If you ask a female entrepreneur why she is in business, some of the most common answers include that running a business is a great opportunity for stay-at-home moms, female entrepreneurs stand to make more money since they aren’t a victim of the corporate pay gap between genders, most females are more apt to pick up a second job, and female entrepreneurs claim that they are in business to make a difference. Female entrepreneurs are by nature compassionate and nurturing creatures so it is no surprise that they put their all into their business, or their “baby”, which no doubt contributes to excellence and outstanding performance, sometimes even higher than men.

Beauty and Brains. The female entrepreneurial world is generating a lot of buzz today. In support of this effort, there are many training programs, grants, and organizations that support female entrepreneurs. Many of the technology training programs offer female entrepreneurs e-business tools, brand promotion techniques, marketing research, and general best business practices. Studies were conducted on younger female entrepreneurs to test the effectiveness of these training programs as well as to see how female entrepreneurs are applying these strategies in their day to day business practices.

“Pretty in Vanity”. Furthermore, one of the brand promotion techniques that female entrepreneurs embrace is toll free numbers. Female entrepreneurs recognize that an effective and unique toll free vanity number is crucial to promoting any brand, product, or service and has been a significant asset to their businesses. By having an extensive background and training in technology, female entrepreneurs know that marrying a toll free vanity number with their web domain name is one of the most effective ways to market their brand and increase recognition.

All in all, female-owned businesses range from event planning and consulting services to bakeries and flower shops, scientific forensics and technical analysts, and even legal consulting services. There is no industry that a female entrepreneur hasn’t dominated and conquered in some shape or form. In the span of a decade, the number of businesses in the United States increased by 34%. And of that 34%, 50% were female-owned and operated. But underneath all the success, female entrepreneurs are generally happier. They know what it takes to run a successful business and to excel as an entrepreneur.
