Promote Your Small Business Spirit on the 4th of July by: admin , July 4, 2014 The celebration of Independence Day on July 4th is the most significant American holiday. Communities across the United States organize special events to commemorate the principles liberty and freedom. The holiday has so much meaning to Americans that most small businesses close their doors to salute the country’s most hallowed day. Unlike what we see on Memorial Day, the Fourth of July takes on a completely different meaning for small business owners. Reflection. The 4th of July is the perfect time for small business owners to reflect on the connection between the American spirit and entrepreneurial spirit. Many small business owners and entrepreneurs continue to take huge risks to pursue their independence in running a small business. Small business owners and entrepreneurs risk steady and stable incomes, take on employees who depend on small businesses for a paycheck, and even invest a large amount of capital into an entity that has a high risk of failure. The risk is great, but they do it anyways…for independence, and to make a difference. Community Involvement. No other American holiday brings communities closer together than Independence Day. Both small communities and large cities sponsor festivities that include parades, live music, and of course, brilliant firework shows. Small business owners are the backbone of most American cities and the 4th of July is the best time to reinforce community solidarity. Small business owners and entrepreneurs can sponsor a float or live music act, as well as volunteer their time helping community leaders organize and operate the largest community celebration of the year. Giving back is one of the most important meanings of the 4th of July for small businesses. Opportunity. Independence Day is an excellent opportunity for small business owners to showcase their products and services. Most community events include booths that sell a wide variety of products or simply provide information about products and services. Information booths provide small business owners with a direct, uninterrupted communication channel with prospective customers. Small business owners and their friendly customer service teams can get the word out about their businesses, without having to spend much of their marketing budgets. Most communities charge affordable fees to rent booth space during 4th of July celebrations. Small business owners have a lot on their plates, which comes with the nature of the job. They rarely have time to enjoy the fruits of their considerable labors. The 4th of July provides small business owners with the chance to reflect on their entrepreneurial spirit, give back to the community, and spread the word about their small businesses. Like our Founding Fathers, small business owners can be heroes on the 4th of July. © vectomart – Fotolia.com Search for: Search Categories Advertising Branding Business Growth Communication Entrepreneur Management Marketing News & Updates Tags Small business Small Business; Small Business Growth; Small Business Communication; Small Business Technology; Toll Free Vanity Numbers Toll Free Numbers Toll Free Trends Uncategorized Vanity Toll Free Archives 2020 2019 2018 2017 2016 2015 2014 2013 2012 2011 2010 2009
