Establish Your Online Presence. Think about your audience. Who are you trying to reach? Have you answered these questions in your domain name and on your home page?

·         How will your products and services benefit your customers?

·         What is the availability of your products and services?

Networking! Just like applying for a new job, unless you are networking your small business, you may not succeed. Look at social media platforms as a vast and wonderful opportunity. Brand, Keyword Optimization, and Rich, Compelling Content. Come on, it’s not that hard, and there are dozens of resources to help you figure it out. Your brand is you! Is that clear on your website? There are some controversial opinions about keywords, but the fact is if you have rich, compelling content, you have keyword optimization. Review your website content and make sure you include a clear, precise message without a lot of clutter. Include some passion yet keep it professional (in most cases). If you need traffic, try Google Adwords to generate some Internet advertising. They offer specials on a regular basis, and they will spend time on the phone with you to get it going. Find out what keywords your customers are searching.

Do Something For Your Small Business Every Day. Refresh your website regularly, create a blog post, send a brochure, start a Google Adwords campaign, refresh your business cards—yes, you still need them in our digital world, submit comments to your social networking platforms, talk to people, look for publicity opportunities, offer a deal or coupon, and visit one of the one-thousand “how to market business” websites. It is not like it used to be. There are marketing tools at your fingertips. All you have to do is reach out and take advantage of them.
